To the Rescue!

Angel & Beauty's Stories

Beauty's Story: In September 2007, a neglected dog was rescued from a home in Cameron. This 5 year old collie was infested with fleas and had lost over 80% of her fur. She was severely malnourished and her toenails were so long that she could not walk properly. Once she was taken to the shelter, everyone noticed how beautiful her personality was, hence her name of "Beauty". She is lovely, devoted and gentle. With the loving care of the people at the shelter she has since grown back some of her fur, she is walking better and her appetite is returning. Please come in and see what a lovely dog Beauty is and perhaps you just might find a great friend in Beauty!

Angel's Story: In April 2005, a neglected horse was found at a Marshall County Residence. She was found tied to a tree suffering from severe malnutrition, anemia, lice, and other ailments. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department rescued "Angel" and placed her under the care of the Marshall County Animal Shelter. Angel responded immediately to the loving and caring attention from shelter employees.

Now in 2007, Angel is healthy and happy and has been living with a family right here in Marshall County!
